Did you hear? The circus was NOT in town this April Fools' Day. Supporters helped students reach for the stars and gave year round learning a boost by participating in a pretend circus that provides real services for Rochester students! Didn't get your ticket? You can still join the circus at bit.ly/esfcircus. *Did you miss our special brew, Navigator, at Heroes Brewing Company? Great news - it's back! We celebrated it's rerelease with a Circus Sunday Funday!*
If you visit our Sands Family Campus this spring, you will see new student-designed zones popping up! The latest space, Renew U Zone, made possible by Renewal By Andersen, breathes new purpose into a long forgotten porch. Teens look forward to connecting and completing their homework al fresco! Whole-Family @ EnCompass: Resources for Learning
Holistic efforts encompass both learning and wellbeing:
EnCompass supports families on their paths to success. Thanks to our Marie C. and Joseph C. Wilson Foundation grant, we are now Rochester's only provider of The Chicago Parent Program, an evidence-based 12-week model, which strengthens parents' confidence and skills.
Side-by-side with Dansville Central School District, EnCompass boosts student achievement and addresses barriers beyond the classroom. Our collaboration supports the Dansville Afterschool Peer Tutoring program and, with Pro Action, we established a new Family Resource Center within the schools.

Hands-on learning experiences at EquiCenter, a therapeutic equestrian center, help students thrive! Here, they not only learn how to ride and care for horses, but also develop executive functioning skills including planning, problem solving, working together, and more.
What makes our school so special? NHS stands out in many ways, but our faculty and staff tenure truly sets us apart. There are 19 staff members who have been with NHS for 10+ years, and of those, 6 have been with us for 30+!
